KbPort™ will be attending The Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC) in Charleston, South Carolina on July 11–13. PTEC, a division of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), is a volunteer organization with a mission that unites, supports, and empowers educators in the education and training of pharmacy technicians.
We are excited to join other pharmacy professionals with a shared passion for educating and training pharmacy technicians to adhere to best professional practices as well as to promote the pharmacy technician profession.
Pharmacy educators, as role models, enable learners to gain knowledge and skills of pharmacy technicians in order to enhance their transition to practice, leading to increased competence and better patient care. As the roles of pharmacy technicians continually evolve, it becomes increasingly important for educational programs to provide innovative curriculum and technology.
Our pharmacy solutions include a range of everything from recording and debriefing (ETC™ V7™), carts and cabinets, and medication dispensing software (MedsManager™) to curriculum utilizing those products and written by professionals in the pharmacy field. We also offer TeachMEDS™ kits that work hand in hand with our medication dispensing products and curriculum.
We also created Virtual Study™ which offers two programs, the Pharmacy Technician Basic Program and the Pharmacy Technician Advanced Program (CPhT), which is PTCB approved for the 4th consecutive year. The Pharmacy Technician Advanced Program (CPhT) separates key concepts by module and provides a virtual learning environment with instructional material, interactive exercises, and examinations. Both programs are followed by completion of hands-on skills in a laboratory environment.
Stop by and check out our newest edition of our Pharmacy Technician Lesson Plans that we worked on perfecting with local schools. Our representatives would love to tell you more about that process and talk about all things pharmacy with you.
We hope to see you there!
